Chenko Gerov is the new managing director of Trace Resources

Chenko Gerov Eng. takes over the management of "Trace Resources" Ltd. and the previous manager engineer Atanas Tasmov has new functions in the parent company.

From August 2023 the company will be managed and represented by Chenko Gerov. He is a mining engineer, a graduate of the Mining and Geological University, who studied computer technology in high school, and his master's thesis in the specialty "Management and Business Administration" was defended at the University of National and World Economy.

On the way of his professional development he has gained experience in underground mines in Bulgaria, Armenia, Greece and others. He was part of the project of "Trace Resources" at the first steps of the company in Breznik. Later he continued to be directly involved in the work processes of the development of the Milin Kamak deposit, but as part of the team of the parent company Asarel-Investment.

Now Engineer Gerov returns to Breznik as the manager of Trace Resources with the ambition to establish the company as an example of sustainable business with a strong social commitment.

His predecessor, engineer Atanas Tasmov, will be the head of the Technical Department at Asarel-Investment. He will be responsible for engineering work on all new projects that the investment company develops.

Atanas Tasmov is a civil engineer with many years of experience in Panagyurishte, who in 2015 took the lead of the project in Breznik. Under his leadership, the company entered into a Concession Agreement with the Ministry of Energy, which enabled the start of the investment in the Milin Kamak gold-bearing ore deposit.

All the steps from the preparatory and additional exploration phase have been completed in order to start the construction process of the mine complex. It expanded the company's team and the company became a significant economic factor in the region. With his signature, the first concession payments were transferred, providing hundreds of thousands of BGN in annual revenues for the municipality of Breznik.
