Standards

„Asarel Medet” AD has traditionally been a pioneer in the mining industry in the implementation of new cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

In 2003 it became the first Bulgarian company from the heavy industry to implement an Integrated Management System according to the three main international standards - quality, ecology and working conditions. Since 1999, the company has invested over BGN 540 million in modernization projects and over BGN 53 million in environmental protection.

At Breznik Minerals EOOD, as part of the group of companies of Asarel-Medet AD, we follow ethical and professional rules and norms in our relations with business partners:

Certificates

In 1999, Asarel-Medet AD was the first company in the Bulgarian mining industry to obtain a certificate for quality management according to the international standard ISO 9 001, and on 15 January 2002 the first in the country ISO 14 001 certificate - for environmental protection. In 2003, it became the first Bulgarian company in the high-risk heavy industry to secure a certificate under the OHSAS 18 001 standard for occupational health and safety and to implement an Integrated Management System under the international standards for quality, environmental protection and occupational safety.

Asarel-Medet AD was the first Bulgarian company to receive a First Class Investor Certificate from the Bulgarian Investment Agency in 2005 for its large-scale production modernization project worth over USD 100 million.
